About Us

Founded in 1950 by WWII war veteran Edwin “Ed” Romanoski, Romanoski Glass and Mirror Company began as a small local glass shop in Tucson, Arizona glazing everything from small picture frames to local commercial buildings.  Starting with little more than a steel putty knife, this smart, hard-working and aggressive businessman was able to attract particularly talented personnel to launch his new company.  His philosophy of treating his employees as valued family members, and expecting the same in return, earned Ed the reputation of being an honest and fair employer. As the business grew, close attention was paid to innovation and efficiency and Romanoski was independently recognized by and featured in the October 1978 issue of Glass Digest Magazine for its state-of-the-art processing and handling capabilities. When Edwin passed away in November 1992, Richard Lesch, a Romanoski veteran of more than 40 years stepped in the role of President and General Manager.  The business continued to prosper and the Romanoski tradition perpetuated by Ed’s son, Jim, who stepped in as President after Richard’s untimely passing in 1993. During the 1990’s Romanoski’s growth encouraged expansion into additional markets.  A state-of-the-art aluminum fabrication facility was installed in 1999, allowing Romanoski to design and optimize its products for architectural opening projects. Romanoski has been able to provide many of its long-time clients with the level of service that they have come to expect in other markets.  As the oldest and largest commercial glazing contractor in the southwest United States, Romanoski has continued to follow Ed’s original vision and his business philosophy continues perpetuates today with employees of more than forty-six years continuing to be vital members of the Romanoski team.
